Bortoli Reserve Pinot Noir

The Yarra Valley is one of Australia’s cooler regions, which make it a brilliant region for Pinot Noir production. The 2019 growing season brought good good rainfall through to mid January and then a long dry summer. Very good quality conditions in the vineyards helped the grapes achieve good ripeness, flavour and intensity.

A combination of winemaking techniques are used to produce a final blend with complexity and balance. These include cold maceration prior to fermentation, inclusion of whole bunches and warm fermentation at 28˚C to 32˚C. This results in a wine with a bright medium red colour.

This is a fabulously expressive Pinot, which presents classic strawberry and red cherry aromas, and soft, plump, textural, spice, gentle acidity.
