M. Chapoutier Gigondas (Les Jocasses) is a striking red wine from the Gigondas appellation in the Southern Rhône valley. This wine is made from a classic blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault – grapes that thrive in the warm, sun‑drenched slopes and limestone-rich soils of Gigondas. The result is a wine that combines southern Rhône power with refined elegance.

TASTING NOTES & IDEAL PAIRINGS
This Gigondas offers an intense ruby‑red colour. On the nose, you’ll find aromas of jammy strawberry, warm spice, and cracked pepper – a rich bouquet that feels both bold and refined. The palate displays floral notes at first, which evolve into spicy black pepper. It supports these with firm, well-built tannins and a long, lingering finish, making the wine feel structured but still expressive.
This wine pairs beautifully with hearty, flavour-driven foods. Think roasted lamb with herbs, slow-cooked beef stew, or grilled venison. It also works brilliantly with Provencal-style charcuterie, garrigue‑infused stews, or mature cheeses. For best results, decant the wine for 15–30 minutes before serving, and try it at around 18–19 °C to bring out its aromatic richness and layered complexity.
