Oludeo Monastrell La Sonadora

This is a distinctive Monastrell made by winemaker Simon Tyrrell in Yecla, Spain. The grapes come from high‑altitude vines in rugged terrain, bringing fresh acidity and pure fruit. The wine undergoes whole-bunch fermentation with wild yeasts, and it’s aged in French oak, giving it elegance and subtle complexity.

TASTING NOTES & IDEAL PAIRINGS

The wine shows deep dark cherry and plum on the nose, with hints of herbs and spice. On the palate, it’s juicy yet refined, with ripe red fruit, a touch of earthiness and firm but polished tannins. The oak adds gentle structure without overwhelming the fruit.

Pair it with grilled lamb chops, slow-roasted pork shoulder, or hearty stews. It also works well with mature Manchego cheese or tapas featuring olive, chorizo, or smoked paprika character.
