TASTING NOTES & IDEAL PAIRINGS
On the nose, The Week of Peat introduces soft, sweet peat smoke, honeyed vanilla and floral hints layered with gentle citrus and orchard fruit. The smoke is delicate but present – earthy rather than medicinal.
On the palate, the whisky is smooth, round, and warming. The peat smoke merges with vanilla, blossom honey, soft oak and citrus‑wood notes. Hints of butterscotch and gentle spice may emerge as the dram develops. The finish brings gentle smoke, warm oak spice and lingering creamy sweetness.
This whisky works best neat or with a drop of water to open up citrus and floral tones. It also pairs well with smoked or grilled meats, aged cheeses, or dark chocolate – all of which complement the smoky‑sweet balance.
