Rioja Heredad de Tejada Tempranillo is a bright and expressive red wine made from 100% Tempranillo grapes in the Rioja Alta sub-region of Spain. The grapes come from old vine plots, some between 50 and 70 years old, planted on clay‑limestone soils in the historic Sonsierra area. The winery combines traditional techniques with modern winemaking to produce a wine that respects Rioja’s heritage while offering a fresh, approachable style.

TASTING NOTES & IDEAL PAIRINGS
On the nose, this Tempranillo displays vivid aromas of raspberry and red cherry, complemented by subtle notes of liquorice and a gentle herbal character. The palate is fresh and vibrant, with juicy red fruit balanced by soft, ripe tannins and a smooth, slightly savoury finish. Its lively acidity enhances the fruit flavours and gives the wine excellent drinkability.
This Tempranillo pairs perfectly with hearty Spanish dishes, including grilled lamb with rosemary and thyme, roast pork, or mature Manchego cheese. It also complements tomato-based stews, tapas, and even grilled vegetables. Serve at around 14–16 °C to bring out both the fruit intensity and the delicate oak nuances from its brief maturation in French barrels.
